Kaduna State University Lecturer drags his employers to court

Political Science Lecturer with Kaduna State University, KASU, Dr. John Danfulani, who has been suspended by the school, furthermore sued by Kaduna State government over an affirmed affecting face book remark , has dragged KASU to the National Industrial Court in Kaduna. Additionally, a Press Statement marked by Danfulani in Kaduna yesterday, expressed gratitude toward the individuals who remained by him amid what he said were his trial and placed that nobody could choke him against restricting awful administration.

Notification of the suit served KASU yesterday was referenced, Suit No: NICN/KD/06/2016, entered by Barr. James Kanyip Esq and Manasseh Adams Esq in the interest of Danfulani, the Claimant, against the Defendants – KASU, the Vice Chancellor, VC, of KASU and the Governing Council of KASU. In the suit recorded at the National Industrial Court of Nigeria in the Kaduna Judicial Division, Danfulani made seven requests. Among the requests, he needed the Court to make: "An announcement that the technique and procedure received and took after by the first and second Defendants, (KASU and its VC) prompting the indicated suspension on the Claimant from obligation as contained in the inside update dated eighth of January, 2016 and entitled 'suspension from obligation' are illicit, wrong, void and of no impact at all, "Putting aside or subduing every one of the strategies of procedures taken by the first and second Defendant prompting the implied suspension of the Claimant as contained in the interior notice dated eighth of January, 2016 and entitled: 'suspension from obligation' which implied to suspend the Claimant from obligation.

"What's more, request convincing the litigant to pay the Complainant every one of the overdue debts of his compensations, qualifications, remittances, recompenses and different perquisites of office that he lost as a consequence of the indicated suspension. "A request or ceaseless order controlling the Defendants, either without anyone else, or through some other individual or operators from ending or indicating to end the arrangement of Claimant with first Defendant". The case comes up February 22nd, 2016. The Press Statement of Danfulani peruses to some extent: "I secured my flexibility last Tuesday, against every one of the chances set up against me to stay under lock uncertainly. "Following the matter is as of now in Court, I simply need to utilize this chance to thank every one of the individuals who remained by me amid this trial.

“I also want to assure all that my struggle for an open society, promotion of responsible and responsive government, transparency in the act of governance, and respect for voices of dissents is unstoppable. My voice shall not peter-out even in the face of mobilization of state power against me as clearly demonstrated in this case. “I shall soldier-on and dare against those who want to condense the frontiers of liberty and freedom in Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.
“I also want to assure all that my struggle for an open society, promotion of responsible and responsive government, transparency in the act of governance, and respect for voices of dissents is unstoppable. My voice shall not peter-out even in the face of mobilization of state power against me as clearly demonstrated in this case. “I shall soldier-on and dare against those who want to condense the frontiers of liberty and freedom in Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.
