Two persons, Dada Waliu and Kazeem Joke, who purportedly hit a police investigator with jugs on the head were on Thursday charged in an Ejigbo Senior Magistrates' Court in Lagos.
The denounced were summoned on a three-check charge verging on lawful offense, resistance of capture and ambush.
The prosecutor, Sgt. Babaji Ishaku, told the court that the denounced on Jan. 29 at 9.a.m. at Oduso Compound in Akesan zone of Lagos, ambushed one Insp Balogun John by hitting him on the head with jugs, sticks and stones.
The prosecutor included that the charged persons brought about wounds on the leader of the cop as an aftereffect of the affirmed strike.
He said that the offenses contradicted the procurements of areas 409, 172(b) and 171 of the Criminal Code of Lagos State, 2011.
The blamed persons, in any case, argued not liable to the charges.
The officer, Mrs J.O Adeyemi, conceded the blamed safeguard in the entirety for N100,000.
He additionally said that the blamed must present two sureties whose locations must be checked.
Adeyemi suspended the case till Feb. 29, for notice.
