Victor Osimhen stole the show at the end of the day on account of his record-breaking tenth objective of the competition, with Funsho Bamgboye including a second minutes after the fact. Samuel Diarra had spared an early Osinachi Ebere punishment as the Malians had influence in a stimulating finale to Chile 2015.

The punishment came as both sides were simply discovering their mood in the opening trades, Chato the guilty party with a handball. Ebere saw his low exertion spared splendidly by Diarra, the No17's subsequent header hit the bar before a third chomp of the cherry was obstructed by the Malian resistance.

Both sides had chances in a strained opening period, with Golden Eaglets captain Kelechi Nwakali hitting simply wide and Boubacar Traore seeing his looking header tipped over by Akpan Udoh.

The second half saw the diversion burst into life, with Emmanuel Amuneke's words obviously working their enchantment on the Nigerian youths. Osimhen disregarded the test of Mamadou Fofana before hitting a superb plunging half volley towards objective, which Diarra astoundingly spared. Udochukwu Anumudu then crushed a booming exertion at objective, which bounced back off the crossbar and was cleaned up.

Mali did not notice those notices. Great methodology play by substitute Chinedu Madueke saw him tee up Osimhen for his record-breaking objective, seeing him surpass the nine objectives scored by Florent Sinama Pongolle in 2001 and Souleymane Coulibaly ten years after the fact.

The holders multiplied their favorable position negligible minutes after the fact, with Bamgboye blasting down the Nigerian left before crushing a capable exertion at objective, Diarra standing minimal possibility.
