Bender tops Gunners' wishlist

The January exchange window poses a potential threat not too far off and Arsenal, urgent to include some midfield profundity given their various wounds, are supposedly adjusting their rundown of targets.
Top of the rundown, as per the Evening Standard, is Bayer Leverkusen's Lars Bender. The Germany universal, contracted to the Bundesliga side until 2019, has been in Arsene Wenger's sights for quite a while.

This report from 2013 proposes that the Gunners passed up a major opportunity for the 26-year-old for ¬23 million at the time. Given swelling, the cost of fish, and the way that all Premier League clubs are six months from their greatest payday ever, we can just envision that Leverkusen will now requesting a figure at any rate triple what Arsenal were initially ready to pay.

Will you envision Wenger separating with that kind of trade out January? How about we put this gossip in the perhaps heap for the time being.
