Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany discounted of Belgium's amicable matches against Italy and Spain with calf harm

VincVincent Kompany will miss Belgium's upcoming friendly matches against Italy and Spain after being left out of his side's squad due to doubts over his fitness.
The Manchester City and Belgium captain has been plagued with niggling injuries during the course of the season and now appears to have had another setback.
Both City and Belgium have had disagreements over Kompany's fitness in the past but manager Marc Wilmots has decided to leave out his skipper.

The news will come as a timely boost for Manuel Pellegrini, who will be hoping to have the 29-year-old
available for selection against Liverpool a week on Saturday.
Kompany played the full 90 minutes in City's goalless draw with Aston Villa on Sunday despite struggling with a calf problem.
The City centre back missed training on Tuesday and Wednesday after linking up with his international team-mates and will now have to sit out Belgium's next two games in Brussels.
